Your flights are operated by United Airlines in Economy class. Both legs of your journey are on the same day of travel — departing Houston on March 8 and returning on March 13. Plan to arrive at George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) at least two hours before your 8:10 AM departure to allow ample time for check-in, security, and boarding with the kids.

Cancún Airport ↔ Playa Mujeres
Your vacation package includes private round-trip transportation between Cancún International Airport (CUN) and the SLS Playa Mujeres resort. Your transfer provider is Amstar, a trusted destination management company with representatives stationed directly outside the terminal. Read the arrival and departure instructions below carefully so your family's journey is smooth from the moment you land.
🛬 Arrival Instructions
After collecting your luggage and clearing Customs, follow the signs to exit the terminal. Do not engage with airport greeters inside the terminal, even if they claim to be with Amstar. Look for Amstar Representatives outside the terminal wearing bright blue shirts with the Amstar logo and holding signs. They will check you in and guide you to your transfer vehicle.
Use the Amstar airport map at amstardmc.com/en/airport-maps to familiarize yourself with the terminal layout and find exactly where representatives are stationed. If you cannot locate a representative upon arrival, call the Amstar office immediately at +52 998 881 9500.
If your luggage is delayed, have one member of your group notify the representative or driver right away so they can wait with your vehicle.
🛫 Departure Instructions
If you have not been set up for Amstar Connect digital communications, you must visit the Amstar representative at your hotel the day after arrival to reconfirm your return transfer and receive your scheduled pick-up time and location.
If you have been set up for Amstar Connect, you will receive a confirmation email from Amstar 72 hours before departure, a reminder the evening before or within 3 hours of your scheduled pick-up, and a real-time notification when your driver arrives with vehicle details.
Please be checked out and at your assigned pick-up location at least 15 minutes before your scheduled pick-up time.
Important — Flight Changes: In the unlikely event your arrival or departure flight changes, call the Amstar office immediately at +52 998 881 9500. Changes are generally not accepted within 2–5 hours of your scheduled pick-up time unless your flight is canceled. Always reconfirm your return transfer 24 hours prior to departure.

Advice on Limitations of Liability
Passengers traveling on international journeys — including any portion within the countries of departure and destination — should be aware that international treaties such as the Warsaw Convention or the 1999 Montreal Convention may apply to their journey. These treaties govern and may limit airline liability for passenger death or personal injury, loss or damage to baggage, and travel delays.
Additional protection beyond these treaty limits can be obtained by purchasing travel insurance from a private company. Such insurance is not affected by the limitations of carrier liability under international treaties. For further information, consult your airline or insurance company representative. Travel insurance is always a smart investment, especially when traveling internationally with young children.

Terms, Travel Requirements & Things to Know Before You Go
Before your departure on March 8, 2026, please take a few minutes to review the requirements below. Ensuring your family has the correct identification documents and understands prohibited items policies will help you avoid any surprises at the airport. This vacation is subject to the Terms and Conditions agreed to at the time of purchase.
🛂 Passport Requirements
International Travel: All passengers — regardless of age — must present a government-issued, non-expired U.S. passport at flight check-in and for U.S. Customs re-entry. This includes Ali (age 5) and Evie (age 7). Make sure all four passports are valid well beyond your return date of March 13, 2026.

👶 Children Traveling
Airlines may require special or additional documentation for children traveling without their legal guardian, beyond what is required by the destination country. Contact your air carrier (United Airlines) for clarification. It is the traveler's responsibility to provide the correct documents — failure to do so may result in denied boarding with no refund available for unused flights, hotel, or features.
⚠️ FAA Hazardous Materials Policy
Federal law prohibits the carriage of hazardous materials on aircraft in luggage or on your person. Prohibited items include explosives, compressed gases, flammable liquids and solids, oxidizers, poisons, corrosives, and radioactive materials. Violations can result in up to five years' imprisonment and $250,000+ in penalties. Small quantities of medicinal and toiletry articles (up to 70 oz total) are permitted.
